MEET WENDI GILBERT

Over my thirty-five year career in media, advertising, project management and non-profit initiatives, I've developed top-level management and production skills. This combination of talent and experience enables me to execute projects that produce exceptional results and maximum client satisfaction. My work ethic is tireless and my clients have said that they not only appreciate my professional skills and experience, but also point to my natural enthusiasm and people skills as equally valuable assets.

I attended Northwestern University with a degree in Radio/TV/Film and worked for 20 years as an Advertising Producer. At age 27, I was named the youngest Vice-President in the history of Ogilvy & Mather Advertising. After meeting my husband in Central Park in NY (he was riding his bike and I was rollerskating, so it could be called a moving experience) we moved to San Francisco. I continued my advertising career as a free-lance producer for the major San Francisco agencies including Goodby and Partners, Hal Riney, Y&R and Hoffman/Lewis, as well as some that no longer exist. Advertising is a tough and fast-changing industry!

My husband, Paul, and I then created Heart At Work Productions, a high-end video production business with clients such as Charles Schwab, Dryer’s, Sunset Magazine and Coca-Cola, as well as non-profit organizations like the California State Parks Foundation and Yosemite Fund.  During the dot.com era, I had the frenzied pleasure to create and build the production department for Tonic360, one of the first digital agencies in the Bay Area.

I had a wonderful 6 year chapter as the Managing and Marketing Director for the Life Balance Institute and created the digital presence and social media channels for Dharma Wisdom. I was then hired by Jennifer Siebel Newsom as a line producer for her award-winning documentary: The Mask You Live In, which explored how our culture’s narrow definition of masculinity is harming boys, men, and society at large. After that, I launched my own project management/production company: 911Wendi, to serve individuals and organizations with their production needs. One of the major highlights of my career has also been developing and implementing kindness projects in the local district K-12 schools which our children attended.   After producing million dollar TV campaigns, developing district wide activities for World Kindness Day was easy.  Or, that's what happens, when you are in your "passion and purpose."
